Training
On the water sessions will typically last 1.5hrs - 2hrs.
Please ensure you arrive at the clubhouse 10 mins prior to the official training start time. This will enable us to fit you with a life jacket and paddle.
Sessions are supervised by our coach and will vary throughout the week. Some sessions may focus on technique, sprinting or endurance training.
What to wear to training
Outrigger canoeing is a water sport and you will get wet during training.
Footwear and a bottle of water/sports drink are highly recommended for every session.
Summer essentials
Shorts, t-shirt, hat, footwear (boat shoes/thongs), sunscreen.
Winter essentials
Thermals, beanie, booties, wet suit pants, rain jacket.
You will have access to change room facilities at the clubhouse so please bring along a towel and change of clothes for after your session.
